The City of Whitefish, Montana is actively recruiting for a Finance Director who possess a great attitude, can demonstrate creativity and innovation, have ability to reimagine how work is accomplished, integrating best practices to strengthen operations, have a record of success and passion for public service, and demonstrates the highest-level of character and ethical standards. The position requires a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business or public administration, or a closely related field. Master's degree in one of the above fields preferred, seven (7) years of experience managing and directing the financial services of a municipality or other type of governmental entity. Prior experience in managing information technology is preferred. Five (5) years of leadership experience in a supervisory role, CPA and CPFO designations preferred. Any equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
