Purpose of Position: To provide a full range of Credit Union services. Interviews and counsels
loan applicants and enrolls new members; describes services offered, answers members
questions regarding a variety of services. Assists new/existing members in selection of services;
including loans, cash, and (teller) services. Reconciles member problems and accounts. Builds
and strengthens member relationships by matching the members’ financial needs to the Credit
Union’s products and services at every opportunity. This position requires someone who is very
positive and outgoing with good communication skills. The job specifically entails:

● Financial counseling
● Educating members on how to better manage their money
● Pointing out to members what they are currently paying on loans
● Explaining how the Credit Union can help enhance their credit scores; so the members
can not only pay us less but also pay other creditors less
● Effectively use tools such as members’ loan applications and credit reports

Minimum Formal Education: High School Diploma or GED required, Bachelor’s degree
preferred.
Experience: At least one year or more of credit union or financial experience in customer
contact preferred.
Other Requirements: Must be bondable. Must possess a working knowledge and experience in
Microsoft Office or similar software.
