Indiana University of Pennsylvania invites applicants for a Controller in the Office of Financial Operations (MGR210).

The Controller is responsible for numerous compliance and regulatory requirements for federal and Commonwealth agencies, and grantors, including the annual financial and single audits, and filing of tax information with the IRS and Commonwealth. The Controller manages the relationship with the external auditors, coordinates the annual financial and single audits, communicates audit requirements within the university, and is the administrator for the Universitys online banking and investment portals. The university office needs a leader who embraces change, challenges and questions the ways in which the department conducts business, improves processes, advances the department into the digital age, and realigns responsibilities within the Controllers office. The position reports to the Associate Vice President for Finance, and actively participates in meetings with the State System of Higher Educations controller and peers within the State System.

This management position is a non-represented position.

Position Qualifications

MINIMUM:-360

Bachelor's degree in Accounting -360

Current license as a Certified Public Accountant
PREFERRED: -360

Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration-360

Minimum of three years experience as an accounting manager in higher education -360

Minimum of five years experience supervising employees with accounting degrees-360

Experience preparing consolidated financial statements and serving as the primary contact with external auditors. -360

Knowledge of relevant GASB or FASB fund accounting reporting requirements-360
