Controller/Director of Finance

L&R Ultrasonics,  a leader in the manufacture of ultrasonic cleaning equipment for over 90 years, is seeking a hands-on, high-energy individual to become Company Controller for our privately held firm.

You will be responsible for all financial activities and work closely with our Sales, Marketing, Purchasing and Production Departments.  This position reports directly to the President. 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Oversee, create, reverse and implement company accounting policies and procedures
• Maintain a system of controls on daily accounting transactions
• Work alongside President & make recommendations on both strategy & operations
• Create & maintain annual budget, long term budgetary plan and forecasts to meet company objectives and goals, ensuring availability of funds as needed
• Develop business plans & monthly forecasts
• Create & maintain monthly reports (profit & loss, cash flow, sales figures) as well as quarter-end and year end statements
• Review all month end closing activities as well as general ledger
• In charge of daily financial operations including:  cash flow, risk management, insurance policies, financial reports, A/R, A/P, standard costing, 401K management
• Interface with outside legal, accounting firm and banks; establishing new relationships and maintaining existing ones
• Coordinate all audit activities

Qualifications:

• 7-10 years accounting/finance experience
• CPA, MBA a plus
• Solid experience with reporting, budget development, cost analysis, A/P, A/R, general ledger
• Good communication & problem solving skills

Salary range:   90,000 to 110,000
