Position Title Controller

Job Description
The Controller is responsible for leadership and coordination of the financial management functions of the University. This position provides recommendations for improving university-wide financial management practices; ensures business procedures conform to applicable best practices and guidelines; ensures compliance with state and federal regulations; implements procedural improvements; supervision of the Accounts Payable, Purchasing, Payroll and Accounting/Finance departments; and has overall responsibility for the treasury management operations.
Required Qualifications
*Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting; *minimum of ten years professional experience in accounting or finance; minimum of ten years professional experience working with audits and analyzing financial performance.
Preferred Qualifications
*Master’s Degree in Accounting; *Certified Public Accountant; *experience in educational or similarly complex organization; and *experience with Ellucian Colleague.

monitors and forecasts the cash flow for the university;

directs the preparation of all audits; and

prepares other reports for the Vice President, President and Board of Trustees;

establish protocols and sequences for a rational internal audit function;
Job Duty
complete required institutional and program accreditation reports and other reports necessary for the operation and advancement of the University;

responsible for review of bank reconciliations; and
Job Duty
perform other duties as assigned.
